【摘要】:1.1ThisGuidecoverstheconsiderationofenvironmentalimpactsinproductstandards.Itisintendedforstandardwriters;itspurposeisa)toraiseawarenessthatprovisionsinproductstandardscanaffecttheenvironmentinbothnegativeandpositiveways;b)tooutlinetherelationshipbetweenproductstandardsandtheenvironment;c)tohelpavoidprovisionsinproductstandardsthatmayleadtoadverseenvironmentalimpacts;d)toemphasizethataddressingenvironmentalaspectsduringthedevelopmentofproductstandardsisacomplexprocessandrequiresbalancingcompetingpriorities;e)torecommendtheuseoflife-cyclethinkingandrecognizedscientifictechniqueswhenaddressingenvironmentalaspectsofaproductbeingstandardized.1.2Inordertoachievethepurposeslistedin1.1,thisGuidea)setsforthsomegeneralconsiderationsthatshouldbetakenintoaccountwhendevelopingproductstandardsthatachieveaproperbalancebetweenproductfunctionandenvironmentalimpacts;b)outlineswaysinwhichprovisionsinproductstandardsmayaffecttheenvironmentduringthestagesofaproduct'slife-cycle;c)addressestechniquesforidentifyingandassessingtheenvironmentalimpactsofprovisionsinproductstandards;d)highlightssomewaystoreduceadverseenvironmentalimpactsresultingfromprovisionsinproductstandards.Toreflectthediversityofenvironmentalimpactsthatproductscanhave,thisGuidemayneedtobesupplementedbysectoralguides.
