【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversavehicletestprocedureforevaluationofintakevalvedepositformationofunleadedspark-ignitionenginefuels.Thistestmethodusesa1985modelBMW318ivehicle.Mileageisaccumulatedfollowingaspecifieddrivingscheduleoneitherpublicroadortesttrack.ThistestmethodisadaptedfromtheoriginalBMWofNorthAmerica/SouthwestResearchInstituteIntakeValveDeposittestandmaintainsasmuchcommonalityaspossiblewiththeoriginaltest.ChassisdynamometersshallnotbeusedforthistestprocedureastheBMWNA/SwRIIVDTestwasnotintendedtobeapplicabletochassisdynamometersandnocorrelationbetweenroadoperationandchassisdynamometershasbeenestablished.Note1-IfthereisanydoubtastothelatesteditionofTestMethodD5500,contactASTMHeadquarters.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIorinch-poundunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificstatementsonhazardsaregiventhroughoutthistestmethod.
