【摘要】:Thesefire-test-responsetestmethodsevaluate,underthespecifiedtestconditions,theabilityofafire-resistivebarriersystemtoinhibitthermaltransmissiontotheelectricalsystemcomponentwithin.Intheseprocedures,thespecimensaresubjectedtooneormorespecificsetsoflaboratorytestconditions.Ifdifferenttestconditionsaresubstitutedortheend-useconditionsarechanged,itisnotalwayspossiblebyorfromthesetestmethodstopredictchangesinthefiretestresponsecharacteristicsmeasured.Therefore,theresultsarevalidonlyforthefiretestexposureconditionsdescribedintheseprocedures.Thesetestmethodsprovideameasurementofthetransmissionofheattotheelectricalsystemcomponentswithinthebarriersystem.Thesetestmethodsprovidequalificationofafireresistivebarriersystemasoneelementofanelectricalsystemdesignedtomaintaincontinuousoperationofcriticalfunctionsandprocessesforaspecificfireresistancerating.Inadditiontothetemperaturedataprovidedbythesetestmethods,numerousotherfactors,suchasreferencedin1.4shallbeconsideredinspecifyingsuchasystem.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverfire-test-response.1.2Thesefire-test-responsetestmethodsprovideinformationonthetemperaturesrecordedontheelectricalsystemcomponentwithinafire-resistivebarriersystemduringtheperiodofexposure.1.3Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.4Potentiallyimportantfactorsandfirecharacteristicsnotaddressedbythesetestmethodsinclude,butarenotlimitedto:1.4.1Theperformanceofthefire-resistivebarriersystemconstructedwithcomponentsotherthanthosetested.1.4.2Anevaluationofthefunctionalityoftheelectricalsystemwithinthefire-resistivebarriersystem.1.4.3Anevaluationoftheampacityoftheelectricalsystemwithinthefire-resistivebarriersystem.1.4.4Anevaluationofthesmoke,toxicgases,corrosivity,orotherproductsofheating.1.4.5Ameasurementoftheflamespreadcharacteristicsoverthesurfaceofthefire-resistivebarriersystem.1.4.6Anevaluationofthrough-penetrationsealingmethods.1.4.7Combustibilityofmaterialsinthefire-resistivebarriersystemoroftheelectricalsystemcomponents.1.4.8Theneedforsupportsbeyondthosenormallyrequired.1.4.9Environmentalconditionsintheareaofservice.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
